Thomas A. Buonocore, Esq. has extensive experience in all aspects of complex litigation
and commercial transactional matters. He has developed a reputation for his aggressive and thorough representation of
clients, and for having sound judgment in evaluating cases to maximize results for the
benefit of clients.
Mr. Buonocore received his B.A.
summa cum laude in 1980 from Boston College where he was a member
of Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Epsilon. He received his
Juris Doctorate Degree from Boston College, cum laude in 1983.
Mr. Buonocore served on the Oakland Planning Board from
1994-2008 and served as its Chairman since 2002. He
served as the Municipal Prosecutor for the Borough of
Oakland from 2008 to 2017. Mr. Buonocore was appointed as the
Municipal Judge for the Borough of Oakland in 2017 and currently serves in that position. He
is also a founding director of the Monmouth Foundation, a non-profit
educational charity.
Mr. Buonocore has been named a Super Lawyer in 2006, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023
by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.
